Club Committee

The Committee is elected at each AGM and is made up of the following members, we’ve also included brief roles and responsibilities.

 

Chair – Andy Davies 

Chair committee meetings and the Annual General Meeting.

Ensure appropriate documents, including minutes are available for committee members.

Ensure all committee members are aware of their role and responsibilities.

Act as an ambassador for the club, liaise with club members and convey any concerns and expectations to the commit

 

Treasurer – Alison Tait

To be responsible for all income and expenditure by the club.

Maintain accurate financial records and provide financial forecasts.

Report regularly to the committee on the clubs financial status.

Prepare and present audited financial statements and report at the Annual General Meeting.

 

Secretary – Debbie Smith 

Prepare and distribute minutes of committee meetings.

Keep records as required.

Organise Annual General Meeting and any other meetings.

Attend to all membership enquiries from members and prospective members.

Forward welcome e mail to all new members.

Complete and distribute membership cards.

Maintain accurate records of membership details.

Be familiar with data protection requirements.

Be responsible for parental consent forms.

Promote and encourage renewal of memberships.

 

Comms – Will Peel (non- committee role)

Be responsible for  the tone of voice and content of club website and social media

Establish links with press to best promote the club, teams, rides and events.

Produce and publish information of members via the website.

Act as a spokesperson the club and maximise publicity for the club.

 

MTB Secretary – Barry Goodyear

To encourage, coordinate and support new and existing members to take part in organised off road rides

To liaise with, and be the point of contact for external associations.

To receive and assess new development projects, and support those proposing them in their progression through to discussion and agreement at the full committee

To catalyse new initiatives where gaps exists in meeting the club’s aims and objectives

 

Road Secretary – Ian Martin

To encourage, coordinate and support new and existing members to take part in organised road rides.

To liaise with, and be the point of contact for external associations such as the SCCA

To receive and assess new development projects, and support those proposing them in their progression through to discussion and agreement at the full committee

Be the catalyst new initiatives where gaps exists in meeting the club’s aims and objectives.
